Birds Flyin’

Meet your guides

We are two birds with 45 years of marriage between us, who have survived complex separation, divorce and bereavement. Alongside our lived experience, we bring educational insight and professional understanding shaped by years of learning and growth.  When the family law system failed to protect us, we found strength in sharing our experiences, knowledge and resources. Now, we offer the bird’s-eye view we wish we’d had: honest insight, practical strategies and trusted referrals to experts in their field.

A supportive community for women:

When family falls apart, we help women rise, rebuild and take flight. Our goal is to create a safe, empowering space where you can express yourself, heal and reclaim your emotional and financial independence. Join our community of brave birds who have endured similar challenges and emerged stronger from a life that has hurt them — mind, body and soul.

affordable divorce support consultant

Sarah brings first-hand insight to emotional and financial abuse in relationships and divorce. Often described as a real-life “dickiebird,” she understands how financial control can sit within self-employment, overseas banking/income, asset restructuring, private limited companies and family business/Trust structures.

She navigated family court while working full-time (in person eight times, five as a litigant in person), giving her practical experience of both represented and unrepresented routes to final hearing and beyond.  She understands the pressure, complexity and persistence required for mothers to survive.

Sarah holds a BA (Ed) (Hons) and is trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness in Schools Practice (MiSP). Alongside court proceedings, international relocation, and raising her teenage children alone to tertiary education, she established herself as a marketing professional.

Her lived experience enables her to offer clear, steady support and effective signposting to those navigating complex financial separation.
